Game 64 - Week 21

There will be a live turn in game 64 on Friday evening!

Deadline 5pm, kick off 6pm - both league titles and the final relegation place from each of the top divisions will be decided, along with the last promotion place from division 1.

The Premier division title will be decided in one match - as Bournemouth entertain Spurs.  This week then, Anthony Brockway's Spurs maintained their two point lead at the top with a 4-1 win at home to Celtic, Ibrahimovic with all four goals, but Bournemouth won 3-1 at Wolves - and with home advantage next week know that the title is in their hands.  As do Tottenham though - and Spurs only need a draw...   Man City are out of it in third but they thumped Derby 5-0 despite playing most of the match with 10 men.  At the bottom, disappointment for both Scarborough and West Ham fans as their teams lost - Craig Rathey's Scarborough beaten 2-1 at Chelsea, the Hammers losing 3-2 at Doncaster.  Both are tied on 25 points, so whichever does better next week will stay up.  Kirk Greenway's West Ham probably have the edge, as they're up against hapless Derby whilst Scarborough must play James West's Aston Villa.

Mark Lewry's Man United are promoted from division 1, and they lifted the divisional trophy after their 4-2 win at Newcastle this week.   Chris Burton's Sheffield Wednesday had been second most of the season before a 0-0 draw at Liverpool on Friday saw them drop down the table at the expense of Kieran Hundal's Everton.  Massive game this week though, Chris played Bob at Hillsborough - Wednesday winning 1-0 and they are back into second place!  Three points away at Millwall will do it for them next turn.

Has it all gone wrong for Basle?  Champions elect a week or two ago, when they beat Bayern in week 17, they've only won once since and are now in danger of throwing it all away.  This turn they travelled to Richard Ladd's PSG needing a win to secure the title.  Diego Costa had other ideas - scoring twice to earn his team a 2-1 win.  Jamie Maycroft's Dnipro now have a huge chance - this week they overcame Gerard O'Brien's Bayern 2-0 with late goals from Bacca and Alcantara and are now just a point behind the leaders.  In the final turn of the season, Basle must go to resurgent Mini Mars - Dave Burton's side unbeaten in their last six games - whilst Dnipro are up against relegated, and now managerless, PSV.  It could be an exciting finish.  Down at the bottom of the table, a 4-1 hammering at Real Madrid was enough for PSV to join Roma in Serie B next season, but enough to keep Real's hopes alive for another week. The final relegation place will be between Real, Antwerp and Juventus - Antwerp drawing 1-1 with Mini Mars this week, Juve beating Lazio 1-0.

Serie B sees AC Milan and Benfica comfortably promoted, the only thing to decide next week will be which of the two wins the league title, James West's Milan are currently a point ahead.
