Game 99 - Week 13

Wins for the top two in the Prem, Wolves beating Blackburn 2-1, Spurs with a 1-0 victory at West Ham, so no big changes at the top of the table - Jamie Maycroft's Wolves side still four points ahead.  Anthony Brockway's United climb into third after Aubameyang scored in the final minute to give them a 1-0 home win over Arsenal, Everton dropping a place after they drew 2-2 at Manchester City.  Kieran's City were 2-0 up in that game, and even though that moves them a point closer to safety, they're still deep in trouble in the drop zone, eight points behind the team above them - Arsenal.  Coach Pine's Villa are even worse off - only three points and relegation looking pretty certain for them too.

Joe Hughes' Roma lead Serie A by four, Cabaye getting the winner as they beat Ian Taplin's PSG 2-1 in Rome.  Anthony Brockway's Barcelona beat Milan 3-2 and are second, Pat Lyons' Bayern dropping to third after a 0-0 draw with La Coruna.

Game 64 - Week 14

Villa move two points clear at the top of the Prem, Mario Ballotelli's first half goal giving James West's side a 1-0 win at West Ham, whilst rivals Bournemouth were held 2-2 at home by Man United - Welbeck with two for United after Glen Pine's side had led 2-0 early on.  A 2-1 defeat for Doncaster at Wolves means that Sam Roberts' side are now three points off the top - but also means that Joe Hughes' Wolves side have renewed hopes of beating the drop.  They're still in the bottom three, but only a point now behind West Ham and Chris Burton's Sheffield Wednesday who lost 3-0 at Chelsea.
Mark Wheat's Juve saw their lead in Serie A cut to three points following a 1-0 defeat at James West's Milan, Insigne's penalty the difference between the two sides.  Gerard O'Brien's Bayern are second after a 4-0 demolition on bottom of the table Antwerp, level on points with Milan, three behind the leaders.

Game 64 - Week 13

Well into the second half of the season now in game 64, and Markie Wheat's Juventus are looking strong at the top of the Euro league.  A 3-1 victory over Pat Lyons' Red Bull saw them open up a five point lead at the top of the table this week.  Defending champions Dnipro moved into second place, Jamie Maycroft's side beating Gerard O'Brien's Bayern 1-0 - they drop to fourth, a point behind the Ukranians.  James West's Milan are into third after a 2-1 win at Antwerp, Richard Ladd's PSG fifth after a 2-0 home win over Mini Mars.  That battle for second place is very close - 2nd to 5th all separated by a point, but as things stand, Markie's boys are well in control.

Three teams are tied on 22 points at the top of the Prem, James West's Villa top of them after a thumping 4-0 win over last weeks leaders, Glen Pine's Bournemouth who are second, and Doncaster are the other after a 3-1 victory at home to Arsenal.   Marc Lewry's United are still in the running after Gael Clichy's last gasp goal earnt them a 1-0 win in the Manchester derby, Anthony Brockway's Spurs also in there, just three points off the top, after a 2-1 home win against Kirk Greenway's West Ham - the Hammers dropping dangerously close to the bottom three.

Game 64 - Week 8

Great week for Paris St, Germain - they won 2-1 away at champions Dnipro to move right into contention in the Euro League.  Early goals from Costa and Otamendi put Richard Ladd's team in control, and despite Corluka pulling one back quarter of an hour from the end, the points ended up in Paris.  PSG are now only a point behind the leaders, after Juventus also lost - 2-0 at Benfica - whilst Bayern could only draw - 0-0 at NY Red Bull.  The title race is once again as open as you'd expect in game 64, three points separate the top six.  FC Basle, who came so close last season, are as far down as 8th now after a 1-0 loss at Stromsgodset but they, along with the team that beat them, are only five points from the top and also definitely not out of the running.  Milan are up into sixth after a 1-0 win over Mini Mars, Red Bull fifth after that point at home to Bayern.  Down at the bottom, it was a great win for Benfica this week - that moves them out of the bottom three.  Antwerp also recorded a brilliant win, beating Lazio 2-0 at home.  Mini Mars are now bottom of the table, Antwerp one point above hem with Lazio dropping into the relegation zone just a point further up.  Benfica on 8 points are now just outside the bottom three.

Promotion from Serie B looks pretty likely already for both Real Madrid and Monaco - they're both unbeaten with 7 wins and a draw from their 8 games.  Both won 4-1 this turn, Monaco with the more impressive victory away at Stewart Megrath's LA Galaxy, Soldado bagging a hat-trick.

Wins for four of the top five in the British league, Cavani's goal enough for Doncaster to beat Man U 1-0, Bournemouth crushing Wolves 4-1, Villa winning 4-0 at home to Rangers and Man City beating West Ham 2-1 - the Hammers thus becoming the only one of the top five teams to lose and they drop to fifth as a result.  Doncaster still lead Bournemouth by a point.  Down at the bottom, two goals from Messi helped Arsenal to a 3-1 win at Chelsea which means they stay deep in trouble but have a three point gap to bottom club Rangers.  Chelsea are a place and a point above Arsenal, with Sheffield Wednesday just outside the drop zone following a 1-1 draw at Spurs.  Wolves and Tottenham are a point above the Owls.

Just like two seasons ago, Scarborough are rampant in division 1, Fulham becoming the 8th team to lose to Craig Rathey's side this season.  A Samuel Eto'o hat-trick saw Liverpool win 3-0 at Southampton to stay two points behind the leaders.  Kieran Hundal's Everton won 3-0 at home to Notts County and are four points behind.  The top two haven't played each other yet, so that might give Everton a chance to close the gap.

Super Cup semi finals took place this week, goals from Ronaldo and Ribery saw Bayern Munich beat PSG 2-1 whilst Doncaster beat Everton 3-1.

Game 64 - Week 7

Doncaster are the new leaders of the Premier League, despite only drawing 0-0 with Sheffield Wednesday this week at Hillsborough.  Sam Roberts' side move a point clear of Glen Pine's Bournemouth after they were beaten 2-1 at surprise challengers West Ham - Kirk Greenway's Hammers now level on points with Glen's team in third place.  A point at home to the league leaders is not a bad result, but Burton's Wednesday are in the bottom three - their situation actually worsened by good results for the teams around them.  Joe Hughes' Wolves climb into almost mid table after a 2-0 win against Steve Bennett's Arsenal who find themselves bottom of the league, Man United are a place higher after they beat David Newton's struggling Rangers 1-0.  Draws for Chelsea and Spurs see both of those just above the drop zone.

Champions Dnipro are the early leaders of the Euro league, bottom club Antwerp beaten 2-0 this week.  Mark Wheat's Juventus are the surprise package at the top, after years battling against relegation they are just a point behind the league leaders following a 3-1 win at Lazio.  Bayern Munich could only draw 1-1 at home to Milan and fall back. Again, it's going to be a thrilling relegation battle here, Mini Mars getting a good point at home to Basle but stay second bottom, two points ahead of Antwerp and level on points with Benfica who drew 0-0 at PSG.  Rich Coupland's Lazio are only just above the relegation zone after their loss at Juve.

Game 75 - Week 9

Nine games gone in the game 75 season, it's tight at the top of both leagues with every dropped point proving vital.  Craig Rathey's East Stirling are as yet unbeaten at the top of the Prem, seven wins and two draws for them so far - this week they won 2-0 at Cardiff.  Phil Cortes' Doncaster are second after a 3-0 victory at home to bottom of the table QPR.  Jamie Maycroft's Wolves are third after beating Liam Sturdy's Man City 2-0 at the Etihad, Bacca with both goals.

Barcelona had a 100% record in Serie A before this week, but now they don't.  Steve Bennett's Bayern now sit on top of the European League, unbeaten after eight wins and a draw, and they're just a point clear of Jamie Maycroft's Barcelona after they inflicted the first defeat of the season on the Spanish side.  Two goals from Ribery saw Bayern take the points, Suarez getting one back for Barca.  Those two and Mark Preston's PSG are going to battle it out for the title - the Paris side three points behind the leaders after an Ibrahimovic hat-trick saw them win 3-0 at Feyenoord.

Game 99 - Week 5

Five games in, and Wolves dropped their first points of the season - Jamie Maycroft's side held 1-1 at Arsenal.  Steve Bennett's Spurs close to within a point of the leaders after they beat Cardiff 3-0 at White Hart Lane, Arsenal stay third with Patrick Lyon's Southampton fourth after a 3-0 win over Man City.  Anthony Brockway's United round out the top five, three points behind the leaders after winning 3-2 at Villa Park despite ending the game with only 9 men - Piszczek and Smalling sent off before Aubemeyang snatched a late breakaway winner.

First dropped points of the season for both Barcelona and Roma in Serie A too, Joe Hughes' Roma side were held 1-1 at a La Coruna side who played most of the game with 10 men.  Kieran Hundal's side held a 1-0 lead for most of the game too - holding on despite being a man down but finally Balotelli levelled with seven minutes to go.  Roma drop to second, Patrick Lyon's Bayern now top on goal difference after Messi got a brace in a 3-0 win at bottom club Fluminese.  Barcelona dropped points for the first time too, a last minute Corluka goal sending them to a 2-1 defeat at Jamie Maycroft's Valencia, Barca drop to third in the table, Valencia climb to fourth.

Game 64 - Week 21

There will be a live turn in game 64 on Friday evening!

Deadline 5pm, kick off 6pm - both league titles and the final relegation place from each of the top divisions will be decided, along with the last promotion place from division 1.

The Premier division title will be decided in one match - as Bournemouth entertain Spurs.  This week then, Anthony Brockway's Spurs maintained their two point lead at the top with a 4-1 win at home to Celtic, Ibrahimovic with all four goals, but Bournemouth won 3-1 at Wolves - and with home advantage next week know that the title is in their hands.  As do Tottenham though - and Spurs only need a draw...   Man City are out of it in third but they thumped Derby 5-0 despite playing most of the match with 10 men.  At the bottom, disappointment for both Scarborough and West Ham fans as their teams lost - Craig Rathey's Scarborough beaten 2-1 at Chelsea, the Hammers losing 3-2 at Doncaster.  Both are tied on 25 points, so whichever does better next week will stay up.  Kirk Greenway's West Ham probably have the edge, as they're up against hapless Derby whilst Scarborough must play James West's Aston Villa.

Mark Lewry's Man United are promoted from division 1, and they lifted the divisional trophy after their 4-2 win at Newcastle this week.   Chris Burton's Sheffield Wednesday had been second most of the season before a 0-0 draw at Liverpool on Friday saw them drop down the table at the expense of Kieran Hundal's Everton.  Massive game this week though, Chris played Bob at Hillsborough - Wednesday winning 1-0 and they are back into second place!  Three points away at Millwall will do it for them next turn.

Has it all gone wrong for Basle?  Champions elect a week or two ago, when they beat Bayern in week 17, they've only won once since and are now in danger of throwing it all away.  This turn they travelled to Richard Ladd's PSG needing a win to secure the title.  Diego Costa had other ideas - scoring twice to earn his team a 2-1 win.  Jamie Maycroft's Dnipro now have a huge chance - this week they overcame Gerard O'Brien's Bayern 2-0 with late goals from Bacca and Alcantara and are now just a point behind the leaders.  In the final turn of the season, Basle must go to resurgent Mini Mars - Dave Burton's side unbeaten in their last six games - whilst Dnipro are up against relegated, and now managerless, PSV.  It could be an exciting finish.  Down at the bottom of the table, a 4-1 hammering at Real Madrid was enough for PSV to join Roma in Serie B next season, but enough to keep Real's hopes alive for another week. The final relegation place will be between Real, Antwerp and Juventus - Antwerp drawing 1-1 with Mini Mars this week, Juve beating Lazio 1-0.

Serie B sees AC Milan and Benfica comfortably promoted, the only thing to decide next week will be which of the two wins the league title, James West's Milan are currently a point ahead.

Game 75 - Week 4

Doncaster are setting the pace in the Prem, Phil Cortes side have won four out of four this season, including an impressive 4-0 victory over Man United at Old Trafford this turn.  Two goals from Hernandez and one from Boateng saw the newly promoted side shock Mark Richards' outfit who sit mid table after two wins and two draws.  Craig Rathey's East Stirling are second after a 4-0 win away at struggling Liverpool, with Jamie Maycroft's Wolves side already four points behind the leaders in third place after their 1-0 win at Norwich.

Jamie's Barcelona top Serie A, they've a 100% record following a 4-0 drubbing of Deportivo.  Steve Bennett's Bayern are second after a 4-0 home win over Werder Bremen, level on points with Yan Eriksson's Ajax who beat Milan 1-0 and Mark Preston's PSG who beat Real Madrid 1-0.

Club Debt News

You may have seen from your printouts that teams who are more than £5 million in debt each week are listed in the newsletter, along with a number in brackets.  This number indicates how many weeks the team has been on the debt list.  Once this reaches 3 weeks, a player will be placed on the auction list and sold off the following turn to the highest bidder in order to help reduce the debt.  The player will be picked at random from your squad, so beware!  Best way to avoid this happening is to avoid getting in debt - if you are, clear the overdraft straight away!!!

Game 64 - Week 19

Two goals from Zlatan Ibrahimovic gave Anthony Brockway's Spurs a 2-1 home win over Man City - and put them two points clear at the top of the Premier League with three games to go.  Glen Pine's Bournemouth were held 1-1 at James West's Villa - Higuain with the leveller for the home side in the final few seconds of the game - to drop behind the leaders.  Benzema scored all five as Chelsea beat Celtic 5-0 to keep their faint mathematical title hopes alive, six points behind, whilst Doncaster are now also six behind after a 2-1 home defeat to Arsenal.  Down at the bottom, Craig Rathey's Scarborough kept their hopes of avoiding the drop alive with a 2-0 win at relegated Derby, they move to just three points behind West Ham who lost at Wolves.  The Hammers do have a better goal difference but there could still be a close finish there, Villa and Wolves though both look safe now, seven points ahead of Scarborough.

Promotion from the first division at the first attempt is almost secured by Marc Lewry's Man United - one more win from their final three games will do it.  They lead Chris Burton's Sheffield Wednesday by six points and Kieran Hundal's Everton by seven.  Those two, along with David Newton's Rangers and possibly still Nick Smith's Liverpool, will battle it out over the final three games for the last promotion place.

Basle saw their lead at the top of Serie A cut to seven points, but they're still just one win from the title.  Dnipro beat them 2-0 to make Coach Pine wait another week for his trophy, Alcantara and Bacca scoring for Jamie Maycroft's side.  Gerard O'Brien's Bayern are second after a 3-0 win at Roma, Lazio dropping out of the running with a 1-1 draw at Mini Mars.  Relegation is still pretty open, PSV losing at Juve to drop to second bottom, Real Madrid beating Antwerp 3-0 to move up to 10th.  Antwerp and Juventus are still definitely in trouble, Mini Mars may still need another point or two but are probably high enough up the table to feel like they'll be playing in Serie A again next season.

Benfica and AC Milan both secured promotion back to Serie A this week, Louis King's Benfica beating Shaktar Donetsk 3-0, James West's Milan with a 3-0 win at Barcelona.  The two of them will now battle it out for the divisional title.

This week also saw the Champions League semi finals.  Bayern Munich followed a 2-0 home win against Lazio with a 2-1 victory away from home to secure their place in the final, Bournemouth beat stable mates Basle 2-1 to join them after a goal-less first leg.  In the Europa semis, NY Red Bull beat Paris St. Germain 2-1 on the night, 4-2 on aggregate, and a 1-1 draw for Man City at Villa Park was enough for them to go through 3-1 on aggregate.

Game 1 - Week 19

Arsenal are one win from the Premier division title, Louis Browne's side winning 2-0 at Charlton this week to maintain a six point lead over Niall Cunningham's Liverpool with three games to go.  James Bartaby's Man United are all but mathematically out of the running, nine points back and with a far worse goal difference.

Serie A could go right down to the last kick of the season though, Jamie Maycroft's Valur beating James Bartaby's Bayern 3-0 to move above them and top of the league, three points clear of their German rivals.  Louis Browne's PSG are a point behind Jamie's side after a 1-0 home win over Real Madrid who drop down to third.  Juventus are possibly still in the running, Mark Wheat's side five points behind after a 3-2 win at Parma, Dave Burton's FC Tucson six points adrift after beating Ajax 3-0.

Game 64 - Week 17

One point from two games means that Bournemouth have blown a five point lead and have been knocked off the top of the Premier League table by Tottenham.  Last week, Glen Pine's side were held to a 0-0 draw at Ethan Bailey's Arsenal, this week they experienced a brace from Romelo Lukaku and a 2-0 defeat at Kirk Greenway's West Ham.  Spurs battered Scarbrough 4-0 in week 16 then won 3-1 at Niall Cunningham's Celtic this turn to go top of the table - Zlatan Ibrahimovic with five of the goals for Spurs.  Doncaster are still in the title race then, Sam Roberts' side three points off the top after they beat Villa 2-0 at home this turn, Man City five points behind after a 3-3 draw with Scarborough.  City actually trailed 3-1 at the break, so this was a good come back for them - and a bad result for Craig Rathey's side who are now six points from safety following that draw and the win for the Hammers.  Derby picked up their first win of the season but are officially relegated nonetheless, along with bottom club Celtic.

Man United disasterously threw away a three goal lead to see the gap at the top of division 1 cut to four points.  Welbeck had scored a tremendous 11 minute hat-trick which looked to put Marc Lewry's side well in control, but Grimsby came back brilliantly to grab a late 3-3 draw.  Promotion still looks odds on for United, but Sheffield Wednesday are closing in, Chris Burton's team four points off the top after a 4-1 win at home to Notts County.  The Owls are a point ahead of Kieran Hundal's Everton who won 4-0 at Norwich.  Rangers are down to fourth after losing to the league leaders last week, this week though David Newton's side won 1-0 at Millwall.  Nick Smith's Liverpool are fifth, five points outside the automatic promotion places, after a 2-1 win at Birmingham.

Basle are now within touching distance of the Serie A title - they could have it wrapped up in a weeks time if results go their way.  This week title holders Bayern Munich were put firmly in their place - Gerard O'Brien's team going down 3-0 in Switzerland.  In truth, the tie was pretty close for more than half an hour - then Cristiano Ronaldo was sent off for the visitors and after that it became very one sided.  Bayern drop to third and Jamie Maycroft's Dnepro become nearest challengers after a 3-1 home win against Patrick Lyon's New York Red Bull who also had a man sent off early on.  Rich Ladd's PSG are up into fourth after a 4-0 home win over bottom club Roma.

Wins for Benfica and Milan in Serie B have those two in the driving seat for automatic promotion, Louis King's Benfica top after a 4-1 win over Schalke, James West's Milan second following their 3-0 win at Sampdoria.  Sam Roberts' Stromsgodset drop to five points away from the automatic promotion places with a 0-0 draw at Shaktar Donetsk.

Game 1 - Week 14

Gerard O'Brien's Real Madrid beat Parma 2-0, Messi scoring both, to keep their two point lead at the top of Serie A intact, Louis Browne's PSG and Jamie Maycroft's Valur still close behind after both won too this week.  Valur recorded a 2-0 home win against Fiorentina, PSG with a 3-0 win at home to FC Tucson.  James Bartaby's Bayern recorded the biggest win of the week, battering James Teager's Juventus 5-1 to go fifth in the table, level on points with Mark Wheat's Barcelona who beat Borussia Dortmund 4-0, those two just four points behind the leaders.

Louis Browne's Arsenal have a three point lead at the top of the Premier League, a 4-1 home win against Millwall this week also improving their superb goal difference.  Niall Cunningham's Liverpool are second after a 3-0 win this week in the Merseyside derby.  It's between those two for the title - third placed United are nine points off the leaders, fourth placed City are 12 points back.

Game 64 - Week 15

Coach Pine took a big step towards a double game 64 triumph with wins for both Bournemouth and Basle this week mean that both have five point leads at the top of both tables.  Bournemouth were made to battle away at Craig Rathey's relegation threatened Scarborough, taking the lead early in the second half and then having to hang on with 10 men after Francis was sent off, for a 1-0 win.  Doncaster were held 1-1 at Man City so drop to third, with Spurs climbing into second place after a 1-0 home win against Arsenal.  Chelsea climb into the top half of the table after a 2-0 home win over West Ham, despite being down in sixth they're still only 8 points behind the leaders - and more importantly just three points behind second place and a potential champions league spot.  Wolves won 3-1 at Celtic to move away from the bottom three slightly, meaning that the defeats for Scarborough and West Ham mean that one of those two is currently looking most likely to join Derby and Celtic in division 1 next season.

Man United should end up going the other way, Marc Lewry's side have a six point lead at the top of division 1, but they were beaten 2-1 by Nick Smith's Liverpool this week.  David Newton's Rangers are second after a thumping 4-0 win at Norwich, they lead Chris Burton's Sheffield Wednesday on goal difference after the Owls won 3-1 at home to Newcastle.  Pre-season promotion favourites Everton are now down to fourth after a 1-1 home draw with Burnley, but are only a point behind their two rivals.  Liverpool are five points from automatic promotion and Grimsby, in sixth, are 15 points back but showing great form and should hang on to make the playoffs despite Newcastle having a new boss - the one and only Andy Cooper!

Wins for the top three in Serie A means that Basle are one match closer to the title, they won 3-0 at home to Lazio, whilst Gerard O'Brien's Bayern beat Real Madrid 3-0 and Jamie Maycroft's Dnipro beat Mini Mars 3-1.  PSG probably saw their title hopes ended with a 0-0 draw at home to PSV.  No massive changes at the bottom either - the bottom four all lost, that point for PSV moves them up from 9th to 8th.  Antwerp and New York Red Bull both recorded useful wins to move themselves into the top half of the table - still looking over their shoulders but both now threatening the top four.

Game 75 - Week 1

A new season kicked off this week in game 75, with the three British league title favourites all getting wins in the opening week.  Craig Rathey's East Stirling came through a tough test at home to Richard Ferguson's Celtic to win 3-2.  Loads of early action saw two goals from Carlos Tevez, Boerrigter pull one back and then Izaguirre sent off for the visitors - all in the first 25 minutes.  Isco made it 3-1 to East Stirling before half time, but Boerrigter's second in the second half set up a thrilling finish - the ten men just couldn't level though.  Two goals from Sako saw Jamie Maycroft's Wolves beat Craig Irwin's Chelsea 2-0 at Molineux, whilst Mark Richards' United side won 3-1 at Cardiff.  Phill Cortes' Doncaster were the leagues other winners, Hernandez with both goals in a 2-1 home victory over BJ Ferguson's Arsenal.  Man City drew 0-0 with Liverpool in the other game in that division.

No draws in Serie A, though the classico came very close indeed.  Liam Sturdy's Real Madrid looked to have done enough to at least a goalless draw with Jamie Maycroft's pre-season title favourites Barca, only for Sergio Busquetts to grab a 90th minute winner for the visitors.  Could be a great three points come the end of the season.  Steve Bennett's Munich started with a thumping 3-0 win at Monaco, Lewandowski scoring twice.  Mark Preston's PSG also scored three, Ongenda with all of them away at Deportivo.  Yan Eriksson's Ajax won 1-0 at Juventus.

Game 1 - Week 13

The title race is certainly heating up in Serie A, Gerard O'Brien saw his Real Madrid have their lead at the top cut to two points with defeat at David Burton's FC Tucson.  Despite being 8th in the table, Tucson are actually only seven points behind the leaders.  PSG won 1-0 at Ajax to go second, ahead of Jamie Maycroft's Valur on goal difference after their 1-1 draw at Juve.  Mark Wheat's Barcelona thumped Fiorentina 5-0, Muller scoring four times, and they're four points behind the leaders - as are James Bartaby's Bayern after thier 3-1 win at Parma.

Game 99 - Week 1

First game of the game 99 season, so a bit early to make any predictions, good wins for Everton and Spurs through.  Mark Wheat's Toffees battered Cardiff 5-0 at Goodison, Lewandowski with a hat-trick, Steve Bennett's Spurs even more impressive perhaps, beating Kieran Hundal's Man City 4-0.  Jamie Maycroft's Wolves scored four away from home, Falcao getting all four goals as Aston Villa were beaten 4-1.   Patrick Lyons' Southampton were the other winners, beating West Ham 1-0. Man United and Blackburn drew 1-1

Only one side scored four in Serie A, that was Anthony Woods' Milan who continued last seasons fine form with a 4-0 drubbing of Stuttgart.  Anthony Brockway's Barcelona won 2-1 at Dave Burton's newly promoted Makhachkala, Joe Hughes' Roma won 1-0 at Fluminese and Pat Lyons' Bayern Munich won 1-0 at PSG, Messi from the penalty spot the scorer.  Valencia round out the winning teams - a home win for them, 1-0 against Atletico with Real Madrid's 0-0 draw at La Coruna the only scoreless game in both leagues.

Game 64 - Week 14

Bournemouth extended their lead at the top of the Prem to four points with a 3-1 home win over struggling Derby, as the second and third placed teams drew 1-1, Doncaster taking a late lead through Marquinhos and Ibrahimovic with an even later equaliser for Spurs.  Arsenal are up to fourth after a 4-1 win over Scarborough, Man City dropping to fifth after a 3-1 defeat at Wolves which moves the Molineux side out of the bottom three - and drops Scarborough into it.  Relegation battle is looking very tight once again - Derby and Celtic both winless look doomed, but it's anyone's guess from there on up - vital victories this week for Wolves and West Ham who beat Celtic 1-0 - we could be looking at a record number of points for a relegated team this season!

The battle for promotion from division 1 is getting tight, Marc Lewry's Man United seem to have their spot wrapped up but it's close behind them.  Sheffield Wednesday drop from second to fourth after a 1-0 loss at Rangers - who climb above them into third.  Everton are second after a 0-0 draw at Grimsby who are sixth and probably out of the hunt for automatic promotion but a real danger now in the playoffs.  Liverpool are six points behind second place, so still in the fight, they won 1-0 at Burnley this week.

Basle saw their lead cut to five at the top of Serie A, after Coach Pine's stars were beaten 3-2 at Antwerp.  Bayern Munich are second after a 3-1 win at Juventus, Dnipro dropping to third after a Falcao drubbing at Lazio, he scored all three in a 3-0 win.  PSG down to fourth after a 1-0 loss at Mini Mars.  Like last season, it's going to be a thrilling relegation battle, with bottom club Roma pretty much down, but the rest all fighting for their lives.

Serie B looks to be a three way fight, Benfica a point clear of AC and two ahead of Stromsgodset after all three won this week.

Game 64 - Week 12

As we pass the half way point of the season, it's time to start looking at how life is once again in game 64!

Top game this week was the Super Cup final, where Anthony Brockway's Spurs beat Glen Pine's Basle 1-0 to take the trophy, Firmino with the only goal of the game early in the second half.  As a result of their win, Spurs are the first team into the draw for next seasons Champions League.

The League Cup quarter finals took place this week, and the top two in the Premier league were both surprisingly beaten.  Coach Pine's Bournemouth lost to Joe Hughes' strugglers Wolves, whilst Sam Roberts' Doncaster went down 2-0 at home to Spurs.  Man City won 3-2 at Rangers and first division Liverpool knocked out Ethan's Arsenal.  In the Euro version, a comfortable 3-1 home win for Gerard's Bayern Munich sees them one game away from another final, Markie's Juve thumped Barcelona 4-0 away from home, Benfica won 1-0 at home to Lazio, but Mini Mars were the shock winners of the round - beating runaway league leaders Basle 1-0 on their own patch.

Not a good week for Basle in fact, though they remain seven points clear at the top of the table, they didn't actually win any of their competitive games this week (and lost at home to Spurs in a friendly, though they did win at White Hart Lane in one...)  In one of three 1-1 draws in Serie A, Markie's second from bottom Juventus held the leaders to a draw in Turin.   Juve stay one win from safety with that point in what looks again to be a very competitive battle to avoid the drop.  Dnipro and PSG stay seven behind Basle at the top after both also drew 1-1, Bayern Munich drop to fourth after losing 2-1 at Mini Mars, Podolski with both goals for the French side.  Lazio and PSV move into the top half with wins, both are much closer to the bottom three than the leaders, but at the same time they're now very much in the battle for second place.

No runaway leaders in the British league, though Coach Pine is currently top of that one too.  Bournemouth and Doncaster lead the way, two points clear of Chelsea and three ahead of Spurs and Man City.  Bournemouth clattered Celtic 4-1 this week, but Doncaster did even better - Cavani with all four as Derby were beaten 4-0.  Bournemouth still lead the table on goal difference though,  Chelsea drop to second after a 2-1 defeat at Arsenal, Spurs are up into fourth after they won 2-1 at West Ham.

Game 64 - Live Turn

The first games tonight were the two FA Cup finals, with Gerard O'Brien's Bayern Munich and Glen Pine's Bournemouth coming out on top.  Munich beat Basle 1-0 thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo's first half goal, whilst two from Wilson gave the trophy to Bournemouth as they beat Chelsea 2-1.

Game 64 - Week 21

One game to go, and still no champions crowned in game 64.  The Premier league is pretty close to being decided though, Ethan Bailey's Arsenal need just a point from their final game away at Tottenham on Friday evening.  This week was a bit of a strange one, four 0-0 draws in the Prem, but the only two outright results having a massive impact on the top of the table.  Going into this weeks games, the Gunners were tied at the top with Rich Coupland's Wolves, but the Molineux side had a better goal difference.  That all changed though - Arsenal won 4-0 at Celtic, Messi scoring all four to take his total for the season to 29, whilst Wolves lost 1-0 at James West's Aston Villa.   Both teams now have the same +24 goal difference, Wolves are at home to Celtic next week.  Down at the bottom of the table, both Kieran Hundal's Everton and David Newton's Rangers are relegated.  One of the two sides above them will go down too... Anthony Woods' Spurs drew 0-0 at Bournemouth and are currently third from bottom, a point behind Marc Lewry's Man United who drew 0-0 at home to Manchester City.  United are unbeaten in four games and - after reaching the halfway stage of the season with a mere four points - have picked up 17 from their last 10 matches.  United are at home to Chelsea next week, Spurs probably have the easier game as they play bottom of the table Everton at White Hart Lane.

We do have champions in division 1, Craig Rathey's Scarborough were confirmed a week or so ago.   It's looking likely that Kirk Greenway's West Ham are going to take the second automatic promotion place with them, after third placed Doncaster drew 1-1 with the league champions this week.  West Ham are three points ahead of Doncaster, but with a worse goal difference so will need at least a point on Friday night at home to Nick Smith's Liverpool.  Chris Burton's Sheffield Wednesday are going to finish in the playoffs, and face a first round match with Liverpool whatever happens next week.  They do however take on Scarborough at Hillsborough and have the opportunity to be the first team all season to beat Rathey's side.

Five teams go into the final game of the season with a realistic chance of the Serie A title.  Rich Coupland's Lazio were top for just one week, as a 3-1 defeat at Mini Mars sees them drop to second, and James Teager's Real Madrid are back on top after a home draw with Basle.  Glen Pine's Basle side are still in the hunt after that draw, two points behind the leaders, but are down in fifth place now after letting a two goal lead slip for the second time in two games.  With a minute to go before half time, Basle were 2-0 up on Madrid thanks to goals from Inler and Shaqiri, but Zaza pulled one back just before the break and scored a second late in the second half.  He also missed a second half penalty which could yet prove costly.  Like Basle and Madrid, it was a second successive draw for Bayern Munich - Gerard O'Brien's side were held 1-1 at Antwerp, Suarez again with a vital Munich goal but Henrique with an equally vital equaliser for the home side.  PSG are back in the hunt too, a 1-0 home win over Atletico Madrid puts them up into fourth place, level with Munich and Lazio, just one point behind the leaders.  What could happen next turn?  Real Madrid are at home to struggling Benfica knowing a win for them would guarantee the title - and send Benfica down in the process.  Louis King's side are without a win in eleven games, so Real will obviously be favourites, but Benfica are not easy to beat, and have already beaten Madrid once this season so won't be pushovers.  Basle are at home to bottom of the table Atletico, Lazio are at home to safe from relegation Juventus whilst Bayern entertain PSG.  Any slip up from Real Madrid and any of their rivals could yet pounce.  There was delight in Turin this week, as Mark Wheat's side recorded their third successive victory to ensure their place in Serie A will be safe for another season.  Juve beat PSV 3-0 to move up to 6th place, three points clear of the drop zone - but also put James Bartaby's side in deep trouble.  Mini Mars' brilliant victory over Lazio also sees them move out of the drop zone but they're not yet safe, only a point out of the bottom three.  James West's AC Milan continued the trend of brilliant form amongst the bottom clubs, it was their third win in a row as well this week, as they beat Benfica 2-0, but they're still in the relegation places.  Atletico Madrid are already down, Benfica are three points from safety and will join them unless they can win at Real Madrid next week.  AC Milan are one point worse off than PSV, Mini Mars and Antwerp - so it looks highly likely to be one from those four - and amazingly they're all up against each other.  Mini Mars at home to Milan and Antwerp at home to PSV, lots of permutations, but at the very least all four sides know they'll be safe if they win their last match.

The Serie B title is going to go down to the last match, Patrick Lyons' NY Red Bull side are two points clear of Jamie Maycroft's Dnipro; both will be playing in Serie A next season.

Game 64 - Week 20

It looks like it could come down to a very exciting final turn in a weeks time, as the top five teams are still in with a chance of winning Serie A.  The top three last week were all held to draws, allowing Lazio to go back onto the top of the table.  They beat Antwerp 2-1, goals from Gimenez and Oscar putting them 2-0 up before Musacchio pulled one back for Antwerp, but Lazio held on.  Playing with 78 rated Spaniard David Gil between the posts, Antwerp have struggled since regular keeper Marc Andre Ter Stegen was injured a few weeks ago and are now very much in the relegation fight.  Another game with big implications at the top and bottom this week saw Real Madrid held 1-1 at home by Mini Mars.  The French side took an early lead through Gaya, following which it looks like they were hanging on a bit with Real enjoying most of the pressure, until Diaz was sent off for Mini Mars midway through the second half.  Possibly that gave the home side the boost they needed, because 10 minutes later Icardi fired in an equaliser.  That must go down as points dropped at home for Real though, who are now joint top with Lazio but with a worse goal difference.  Two of last weeks top three met - Basle and Bayern drawing 2-2.  Early on it looked like an easy win for home team Basle, two early set pieces from Pedrito putting them two up after just nine minutes and taking his total for the season to 12.   Luis Suarez scored his 10th goal of the season though just after to get Bayern back in the game.  Basle held out though for almost another 80 minutes, until the very last seconds when Cristiano Ronaldo equalised - his 11th goal of the season.  So Lazio and Real are top on 36 points, Bayern are one behind on 35 and Basle are another point further back on 34.  PSG aren't out of it by any means either, they're three points behind the leaders, but an absolute disaster for them this week nonetheless - they lost 4-1 at Juventus.  The remaining clubs after PSG are in the relegation battle, two of the six will be relegated along with bottom club Atletico who are already down.  Juve did their survival hopes the world of good with that win, whilst AC Milan were the other big winners, a 3-2 victory at Atletico means they're still second bottom but only three points behind Juve in 7th and Antwerp in 8th.  Mini Mars are third bottom after their draw this week, again though just three points behind 6th placed PSV Eindhoven.  Some great games coming up next week - Lazio are away at Mini Mars, Real Madrid take on Basle and Bayern are at Antwerp.

Game 64 - Week 17

Both leagues continue to be very tight indeed, both at the top and bottom of the tables.  Wolves lead the Prem, but it's only on goal difference after Richard Coupland's team lost 2-1 at Anthony Woods' Tottenham this week.  Spurs move three points clear of the relegation zone after that vital win.  Two more goals from Lionel Messi helped Ethan Bailey's Arsenal win 3-2 at Everton and they go joint top. David Burton's Derby are a point behind the top two after a 1-0 home win over Niall Cunningham's Chelsea who drop to fourth, two off the top.  Jamie Maycroft's Man City are also going the wrong way - a 1-0 defeat at Bournemouth leaves them 5th, four points behind the leaders, level with John Ferrier's Celtic who won 1-0 at Rangers.  Near the bottom, James West's Villa should now be safe as they won 1-0 at home to Man United, Spurs' win leaves Rangers, United and Everton all in big trouble.

Division 1 leaders Scarborough dropped points for the first time this season last week as they were held 0-0 at home by West Ham.  This week though they were back to winning ways, Diego Ribas with all four goals as Newcastle were beaten 4-0.  Sam Roberts' Doncaster are now seven points behind the leaders, and only two clear of third placed West Ham, after a 0-0 draw at home with Nick Smith's Liverpool.  Kirk Greenway's Hammers won 4-1 at West Brom to keep up the fight for that second automatic promotion place - Doncaster play Scarborough next week.  A 2-0 win for Wednesday and that 0-0 draw for Liverpool mean both are heading for the playoffs.

Two points separate the top five in Serie A, three of the top four losing this week in what was a very good set of results for Gerard O'Brien's Bayern Munich.   A Ronaldo hat-trick helped Bayern on their way to a 4-2 win over Rich Coupland's Lazio, whilst James Teager's Real lost 2-1 at Bazz Wetton's Antwerp.  Real are a point clear at the top, with Lazio and Bayern one point behind, Basle and PSG are two off the top.  Antwerp are just about still in the running, five points behind the leaders.  At the bottom, another good result for Atletico Madrid but again only a point in a 0-0 draw at Benfica.  Sadly for Joe Spencer's side it looks like relegation will be confirmed in a turn or two.  James West's Milan also look in big trouble, they were only able to snatch a 1-1 draw at Juventus and are five points from safety.  Four teams are battling it out to avoid being the other relegated side - Mini Mars with a brilliant 2-0 win at home to Basle moving them clear for a week or two, but PSV's 3-0 defeat at PSG puts them right back in the mix.

The battle for the Serie B title continues - wins for both Dnipro and NY Red Bull means there is still just a point between them.  They will be the teams in the automatic promotion spots, Hayden Dando's Roma set for the playoffs.

Game 64 - Week 14

Man United recorded their second win in a row to move within touching distance of safety this week, Marc Lewry's side downing David Burton's Derby at Old Trafford.  Gomez gave United the lead in the first half, Martin levelled from the penalty spot, but then Derby had Albentosa sent off with 12 minutes to go.  The home side took advantage, Gomez with his second goal for three incredibly valuable points.  United stay a point from safety, as Anthony Woods' Tottenham picked up an equally vital point at home to Ethan Bailey's Arsenal with a 0-0 draw.  Below United, it was a bad week for Rangers - who lost 3-1 at Man City - and Everton - hammered 4-0 at Wolves - who now both look doomed.  James West's Aston Villa maintained the gap between them and the bottom three with a great 1-0 win over last weeks table toppers Chelsea, Higuain the goalscorer.  Wolves are now top of the table, the only team in the top four to win this week.

Two more goals from Cavani saw a vital away win for Sam Roberts' Doncaster, 2-0 at Chris Burton's Sheffield Wednesday this week.  That victory keeps Donny in second place, two points clear of Kirk Greenway's West Ham who won 2-0 at home to Burnley.  Wednesday drop to fifth after their defeat, Nick Smith's Liverpool up to fourth with a 4-2 win at Hibs.  Leaders Scarborough recorded their 14th straight win of the season, coming out on top in a 4-3 thriller at Grimsby.

James Teager's Real Madrid are still top of Serie A, a 1-0 home win over AC Milan keeping them there ahead of Rich Coupland's Lazio who won 4-2 at home to PSG, Falcao with a hat-trick.  Basle beat Benfica 3-0 and are third with Bayern fourth after a 3-2 win at home to PSV.  AC Milan drop back into the bottom three, as Mini Mars climb out of the relegation zone again - they won 3-1 at home to Atletico.  Even sides as high up as fifth placed Antwerp won't consider themselves safe from relegation just yet.

Game 64 - Week 13

Wins for the top four in the Prem mean that things are pretty much as they were, though a gap has opened up to fifth placed Bournemouth, Chelsea beat Spurs to stay a point clear of Wolves, who won 4-1 at Rangers, and two ahead of Derby who won 2-1 at home to Bournemouth.  Arsenal are hanging in there, five points behind the leaders after a 3-0 win at home to Man City.  Bournemouth are now seven points off the top, City eight points behind.  Everton are now bottom of the table after a 3-1 defeat at home to Man United who move to just three points from safety.

Scarborough won as usual in division 1, the big game happened just below them.  Cavani scored as Doncaster beat West Ham 1-0 to move into second place.  The Hammers drop to third, outside the automatic promotion places.

Real Madrid are the new leaders of Serie A, a 2-0 win at PSV coupled with defeats for Lazio and Basle see them go top of the pile.  Lazio lost 3-2 at AC Milan, Basle went down 2-1 at PSG.  Bayern Munich are up to fourth after a 4-0 win at struggling Atletico, Benfica and Antwerp in mid table after a 1-1 draw.  Mini Mars drop into the bottom three again with a 3-1 defeat at Juventus who go above them in the table.

The Serie B promotion battle continues with wins for Dnipro, 4-0 at Fiorentina, Red Bull who beat Inter 3-1 and Roma who won 2-0 at Shaktar Donetsk.

Game 64 - Week 12

A battering for Chelsea!  The team that held a three point lead at the top of the Premier League last turn suffered a real thumping at the home of the team that were down in 7th place.  Jamie Maycroft's Manchester City gave the league leaders a real footballing lesson, tonking them 4-1, Goetze with two goals, Maxwell and Torres the others.  City only move up one place to sixth, but are a mere five points behind the leaders with just under half of the season to go.  Rich Coupland's Wolves climb into second place after a 3-0 home win over Arsenal, Dave Burton's Derby dropping to third after a 0-0 draw at Aston Villa.  Glen Pine's Bournemouth are fourth after beating Everton 2-0, only four points off the top, just ahead of Ethan's Arsenal and Jamie's City.  Down at the bottom, it's good to see Marc Lewry's Man United almost double their points tally for the season so far with a victory - they won 3-0 at home to Rangers - and that win means they are level with Kieran's Everton and just a point behind Rangers.  It is looking grim for those bottom three though, Anthony Woods' Spurs in 9th place are now five points clear of the drop zone after a 1-0 home win over Celtic.

Scarborough go marching on - Craig Rathey's side have an amazing 12 wins out of 12 record - this week they went to Millwall and won 5-3.  Kirk Greenway's Hammers are hanging in there, still only six points behind after a 3-1 win over Wigan this week.  Sam Roberts' Doncaster are a mere point behind West Ham, they won 4-0 at Grimsby this turn.  Barring a major disaster from the teams above them, Sheffield Wednesday and Liverpool look set for the playoffs - eight and ten points behind the Hammers respectively - but both had big wins this week.  Diego Costa bagged a hat-trick for the Owls, but he's back to PSG next week after his four week loan.

Battering for PSV too - James Bartaby's side came up against Richard Coupland's table topping Lazio and went home after a 5-0 drubbing.  Falcao scored a hat-trick as Lazio won to keep their one point lead over Basle who beat AC Milan 3-0.   Real Madrid stay third after a 2-0 win over Atletico, but dropped points saw Benfica, Bayern Munich, PSG and Antwerp all slip slightly further back from the title battle.  Mini Mars finally arrested a dismal run which had seen them lose five games in a row, a 2-0 win at home to Benfica moves them out of the bottom three and drops Milan in it.

Dnipro lead Serie B by a point from NY Red Bull, both winning in the league this week, and both recording highly impressive wins in the League Cup quarter finals.  Dnipro beat Basle 1-0 thanks to a second half goal from Quick, whilst Red Bull came from behind to win 3-2 at Mini Mars.  Real Madrid beat AIK Stockholm 3-0 and PSG knocked out league leaders Lazio in the other quarter finals.  The Brit League Cup quarter finals were perhaps a step too far for the two big first division clubs, West Ham losing 3-0 at home to Wolves, Scarborough going down 1-0 at Derby.  Celtic beat Arsenal and City beat Bournemouth in the other two matches.

Game 80 - Week 14

It's still neck and neck between Munich and Dortmund in Serie A, is this going to come down to the last match of the season?  Bayern didn't look at their very best this week, but scraped a 1-0 home win over Valencia.  Dortmund won 3-1 at home to Juventus, Modric with two penalties.  Barcelona stay five points behind, Rooney with two as they beat Roma 4-0, but are still hoping for slip ups from the top two in order to close that gap.  PSG beat Wolfsburg 1-0 and are fourth.

Liverpool's stay at the top of the Prem was very short, just a week in fact, a late Sergio Aguero goal saw Mark Wheat's Man City beat them 1-0 at the Etihad and give Arsenal the chance to go back clear.  They took that chance somewhat emphatically, Patrick Lyons' Gunners recording a 4-0 win at Celtic, Giroud with a brace.  City remain four points behind, but now only a point behind Louis King's Liverpool, and with eight games left still very much in the race.  Just about so too are Joe Hughes' United, comfortable 3-0 winners at home to Newcastle this week and seven points off top spot.

The biggest FA Cup game this week was probably the Manchester derby - United knocking out City 2-1, Blind and Shaw scoring, to go through to the quarter finals.  Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal all made it through pretty comfortably.  Top game in the Euro FA Cup saw Bayern Munich go to Wolfsburg and win 2-1, whilst Barcelona won 2-1 at home to Valencia.  Juve, Real, Dortmund and PSG all made it through to the quarters.

Game 1 - Week 22

The game 1 season comes to an end, with Louis Browne's Arsenal recording an emphatic 4-1 win at Cardiff to take the Premier League title.  Needing just a point to be sure, they were a goal up through Clichy after just a minute and from then on were totally in control.  Giroud added a hat-trick as the Gunners finish the season three points clear of Louis King's Southampton.  Saints finished with a win themselves, beating Leeds 3-1, whilst John Ferrier's United came in third, 13 points behind the champions.

PSG took the Euro crown, their margin of victory so comfortable that they were able to lose this week - a 1-0 reverse to Bayern Munich - and still take the title by six points.  Juventus pipped Valur for second spot, Jamie Maycroft's side coming third, with Bayern Munich fourth and FC Tuscon fifth.  Real Madrid won the FA Cup, Gerard O'Brien's side beating Barcelona in the final thanks to two Messi goals.  He also scored in the Europa league final, but his team lost that one - FC Tucson beating them 3-1.  James Teager's Juventus won the Champions League, beating PSG 2-1 in the final, Costa scoring both goals there, and Arsenal won the Brit FA Cup, beating Man United 3-1.

Game 80, Week 13

Liverpool join Arsenal at the top of the Premier league, after a 2-0 home victory over Everton, Daniel Sturridge with both goals.  The Gunners dropped a couple of points, Patrick Lyons' side held 0-0 at home by Man United.  City are third after a 4-0 win over Newcastle, with United fourth, seven points behind the leaders.

Chris Quick's Munich and John Ferrier's Dortmund are tied at the top of Serie A after away wins for both this week - Bayern won 3-0 at Roma whilst Dortmund beat Monaco 3-1.  Third placed Barcelona slip to five points behind after a crushing 3-0 defeat at Wolfsburg.

Game 99 - Week 13

Wins in the Prem for the top two, defeats for the teams in third and fourth - could this league be developing into a two horse race?   Jamie Maycroft's Wolves are three points clear at the top after they beat Chelsea 2-0 at Molineux.  Patrick Lyons' Southampton are close behind after a 4-0 win at West Ham.  Spurs drop to six points behind the leaders after they lost 1-0 at Everton whilst Man United are now nine points behind the leaders in fourth place after a 2-1 home loss to Arsenal.

Kieran's La Coruna are now four points clear in Serie A and heading for that elusive title.  Two goals from Ronaldo saw them win 2-1 at Dortmund, as their two closest rivals slipped up.  The sides in third and fourth played each other - Anthony Woods' Milan held 0-0 at home by Joe Hughes' Roma, results which do neither team much good.  Real Madrid drop to fifth, nine behind the leaders, after a 0-0 draw with Valencia - Bayern climb above them by winning at Benfica.

Game 64 - Week 11

Lazio are back on top, Dickie Coupland's side leapfrogging Basle after a 2-1 win at Atletico Madrid, Glen Pine's side being held 1-1 at PSV.  It was a strange week - with four out of the six games ending in draws.  Benfica drew at home to Bayern, Real Madrid drew at Juve and AC Milan held Antwerp to a 0-0 draw.  The only other losers in the league were Mini Mars who are now second from bottom after a 1-0 defeat at Paris St. Germain.

Chelsea beat Wolves at Stamford Bridge to move three points clear in the Prem, Kroos with a late winner after Henriquez had missed a penalty for the visitors.  Derby are up to second after a 2-0 home win over Spurs whilst Arsenal are up into fourth after they beat Man U 3-0, Messi scoring two more.

Game 64 - Week 10

Glen Pine's Basle are the new leaders of Serie A, after earning a point away at Gerard O'Brien's Bayern Munich in a particularly bad tempered affair.   The home side seemed to be well in control after two Sergio Aguero goals in the first twenty minutes of the game, and when Lukaku was sent off ten minutes later for Basle, Bayern fans would have expected their side to go on and dominate the game.  However, goalscorer Aguero himself saw red just before half time - and the game changed completely in the second half.  Pedrito pulled one back six minutes into the second half, and Benteke grabbed a late late equaliser in the final minute.  Defeat for Richard Coupland's Lazio means that despite not winning, Basle are now top.  Lazio lost 1-0 at Bazz Wetton's Antwerp, Henrique with the only goal of the game.  Lazio are one of three clubs now a point behind the leaders, Benfica are third after a 3-1 win at PSV whilst Real Madrid are in fourth after a stunning 5-2 win at Mini Mars.  Zaza scored four times for Real, whilst Dave Burton's Mini Mars seem to suddenly be in free fall, having fallen from title condenders to the relegation places in the space of a week or so.  Two goals from Insigne and a 2-0 win over Atletico saw AC Milan move out of the bottom three and above Mini Mars on goal difference, whilst PSG also climbed away from the bottom somewhat, beating Juventus 3-0 to leave the Turin side second bottom, a point behind Mini Mars and two clear of bottom club Atletico.

Jamie Maycroft's Dnipro remain unbeaten in Serie B, they won 1-0 at Leverkusen this week to stay two points clear of New York Red Bull, 4-0 winners at La Coruna.  The third and fourth placed sides faced each other - Sturridge with a late equaliser for Palermo at home to Roma, the 1-1 draw there leaves Roma two points outside the automatic promotion spots and Palermo five.

Game 1 - Week 19

Louis Browne is closing in on an impressive double in game 1, his Arsenal side lead the Premier League by three points and his PSG side are six points clear in Serie A with just three games left.

Week 18 saw an emphatic victory for the French side in the Serie A battle.  The two teams that have been battling it out all season, PSG and Dave Burton's FC Tucscon, met in Paris.  Two high quality sides, but one emphatic winner as two goals from Silva and one each from Totti and Messi saw PSG win 4-1.  That saw them move eight points clear, only for that lead to be once again cut back to six this turn.  Two more goals from Messi, but PSG were held 2-2 at John Ferrier's Sporting Lisbon, whilst Tuscon bounced back brilliantly from last weeks reverse with a 4-1 win over Louis King's Lazio, Wayne Rooney with a stunning hat-trick.  Juventus and Sporting Lisbon are tied for third, nine behind the leaders so essentially out of the title race now, Juve though still in with a chance of second place after their 1-0 home win over Dortmund this week.

Louis Browne's Arsenal have a three point lead at the top of the Prem, wins for the top three this week - Arsenal with a narrow 2-1 victory over Liverpool at Anfield.  Louis King's Southampton are second after a 3-0 win at Derby who had O'Connor sent off early on.  Saints are three points behind the leaders, with Man U one point further back after beating Millwall 3-1 this week.  Week 18 saw the Old Trafford side drop points though, a 0-0 home draw with Liverpool, and that could be the result that costs them the title this year.

Game 64 - Week 9

Deadlock in the big game of the day in the Premier League, Niall Cunningham's Chelsea held 0-0 by John Ferrier's Celtic at Stamford Bridge.  That result means Chelsea are knocked off the top of the table, Wolves taking over at the top.  Rich Coupland's side beat Man City 3-2 this week to move a point ahead of Chelsea, three clear of Ethan Bailey's Arsenal who beat Rangers 2-0 at the Emirates.  Celtic drop to fourth, Bournemouth are up to fifth after a 4-1 win at Man United whilst Derby are back in the top half of the table thanks to a 2-0 home win over Everton.

Scarborough's march to promotion continues as they record their ninth win in a row, two goals from Richards, one from Diego Ribas as Craig Rathey's outfit ease past Burnley 3-0.  West Ham stay second after Rafinha's early goal was just about enough for Kirk Greenway's side in the battle with Chris Burton's Sheffield Wednesday.  The Owls are now five points behind the Hammers in the race for the second automatic promotion spot, with Sam Roberts' Doncaster between the two after they won 2-0 at Wigan.

Still at tie at the top of Serie A, but now only two teams level after Lazio beat Real and PSV dropped two points at home to James West's AC Milan.  In this fiercely competitive league, relegation is going to be just as close as the battle for the title.  PSV thought they had the game won when Tah fired them in front 14 minutes from time, but Insigne levelled for the Italians just before the end.  Milan are now joint bottom of the table though, because Joe Spencer's Atletico won 2-1 at home to Mark Wheat's Juventus to move onto 8 points, level with AC and just two behind Juventus.  Back to the top, Lazio and Basle both won and are out front on their own, Glen Pine's Basle beating Bazz Wetton's Antwerp 4-2.  Two of last weeks top two faced each other, Rich Coupland's Lazio recording a 1-0 home win over James Teager's Real Madrid, Danilo with the only goal of the game.  Gerard O'Brien's Bayern comfortably beat David Burton's Mini Mars 3-0, Suarez, Schweinsteiger and Aguero all scoring, to move fourth, ahead of Benfica on goal difference now after Louis King's side won 2-1 at home to PSG.

Serie B has new leaders, Jamie Maycroft's Dnipro winning a thriller against Patrick Lyons' NY Red Bull.  Red Bull were 2-1 up at half time but an impressive 20 minute hat-trick from Sako at the start of the second half saw Dnipro take the match 4-3.  They go a point clear of both New York and Hayden Dando's Roma who won 2-0 at home to Leverkusen.

Game 80 - Week 9

Manchester City move into the Premier League top three with a 1-0 victory over United at Old Trafford, Sergio Aguero with the only goal of the game in the first half.  City climb above their local rivals but remain four points off the top after leaders Liverpool won 3-0 at Southampton, Borini scoring twice.  Arsenal stay second, a point behind the leaders, after a 4-1 win at Newcastle.

In the Euro, Chris Quick's Bayern Munich stay top, two points clear, after a comfortable 3-0 home win over AC Milan.   Two goals from Luis Suarez for Barcelona saw them beat PSG 2-0 to stay second, Dortmund are third after a  2-0 win at Inter, Subotic scoring both.

Game 1 - Week 17

PSG's maintained their five point lead at the top of Serie A - only five games to go now.  Louis Browne's side won 3-1 at home to Duncan Martin's Dortmund to maintain the gap to second placed FC Tucson.  David Burton's side kept their hopes of a first title alive by beating James Teager's Juventus 2-0 with two early penalties from Wayne Rooney the difference between the sides.  Juve are now eight points behind the leaders and it's probably a two horse race from here on in.  Down at the bottom, Markie's Barcelona recorded a vital win in their bid to avoid the drop - two goals from Thomas Muller saw Bayern Munich beaten 2-1 and Barca move to 8 points from safety.  Still probably too much to do, but it does look like the usual 'a point a game is enough to stay up' rule will not apply this season.

Arsenal, United and Southampton remain the top three in the British league, Arsenal still two points clear of United with Saints a point further back.  All three won pretty comfortably this week, Arsenal beating Millwall 4-0, United with a 3-0 victory over Chelsea and Southampton winning 4-1 at Man. City.

Game 64 - Week 8

The big game in the Euro league this week saw Lazio beat Bayern Munich 3-1 to stay top of the table, defeats for Munich, Benfica and Antwerp saw the number of teams tied at the top cut to four.  Lazio have the better goal difference still, PSG are next after a 3-2 home win over PSG, then Basle - 2-1 victors over Mini Mars, then Real Madrid who beat Antwerp 1-0.   Of the top four, only Real Madrid are away from home next turn (at Lazio) so there is perhaps finally an opportunity for the leaders to open up a bit of a gap.

Wins for the leaders in the Prem too, Chelsea with a home win over Derby, who drop down to sixth, and Wolves winning at home to Tottenham 3-0.  Climbing above Derby are Man City, up to third a 4-2 home victory over Bournemouth, Celtic who won 1-0 at home to Rangers, and Arsenal who beat Everton 2-0.

The Super Cup final will be between Lazio and Real Madrid.  Rich Coupland's Lazio beat Chelsea 3-1 in the first semi final, James Teager's Real beat Derby 2-1 in the other.

Game 1 - Week 16

It could all come down to the final week in the Premier League, as the top three remain three points apart and all keep winning - and winning well.  Leaders are still Louis Browne's Arsenal, two points clear of John Ferrier's Man United following a 4-0 home win over Chelsea.  United won 3-0 at Leeds whilst Louis King's Southampton are a point further back in third after a 4-2 win at Everton.  It could still come down to goal difference though, and Saints currently have the best.

The Euro league is a little closer after second placed Juventus beat leaders PSG this week, James Teager's side with a 2-1 home victory thanks to goals from De Jong and Hazard.  FC Tucson drop to third following a 1-0 defeat at Sporting Lisbon, with both Juve and Tucson five points behind the leaders.  Lazio climb to fourth after a 3-0 home win over Dortmund and close the gap to the top back to eight points.

Game 80 - Week 7

Arsenal recorded the big win of the day in the Brit league, Patrick Lyons' side going to Stamford Bridge and beating Chelsea 4-1.  Giroud, Ozil, Cazorla and Wilshire scored the goals for the Gunners who are second in the table, one point behind leaders Liverpool.  The Anfield side recorded a fine away win this week too, beating Newcastle 4-1 at St. James' Park.  Man United are third after a 4-1 win at Celtic, City fourth following a 5-0 home win against Everton.  Chelsea drop to fifth and Spurs up to sixth after a 1-0 win at Southampton.

Game of the day honours in the Euro league went to Barcelona and Bayern Munich who met in the Nou Camp.  Goals from Rat and Marcelo had put the visitors 2-0 up, but a brace from Suarez levelled things for Barca, only for Schweinsteiger to score the winner for Munich in the very last minute of the game.  Bayern are second, a point behind PSG who won 2-1 at Inter,  Dortmund are third after a 4-2 win at AC Milan, Barcelona fourth and Valencia fifth after they beat Monaco 4-0.

Game 1 - Week 15

Seven games to go - PSG open up a five point lead at the top of Serie A.  Could this be the conclusive move of the season, or are there still a few twists and turns in the story?  Second placed FC Tucson were held 1-1 at home by Valur, Torres levelling in the second half from the penalty spot after Rooney had given the home side the lead in the first.  PSG beat Lech Poznan 3-1, Messi, Ozil and Alves scoring.  Juventus aren't out of it yet, though they are eight points behind the leaders in third place, two goals from Costa for them this week in a 3-0 home win over Roma.  Time is running out for Markie's Barcelona, 7 points from safety after a 1-0 defeat at Dortmund.

Louis Browne's Arsenal are the new Premier league leaders after a 3-1 home win over Newcastle, moving two points ahead of Man United who drew 0-0 at home to third placed Southampton.

Game 64 - Week 7

After seven games it is ridiculously close in the Euro league of game 64, with 11 out of the 12 teams in the league all in with a realistic chance of either winning it, or being relegated!  Only Joe Spencer's Atletico Madrid seem to be out of it - they have just two points - but they're no pushovers as PSV found this week - James Bartaby's Eindhoven just about scraping through with a 2-1 win.  The top seven sides all have 12 points after this weeks games, Rich Coupland's Lazio are top of the pile after a 3-0 home win over Glen Pine's Basle who are level on points with them.   Louis King's Benfica moved up to second after a 2-0 home win over Mark Wheat's Juve - Juventus are now 11th, but are still only five points off the top.  Gerard O'Brien's Bayern are third with Ronaldo firing in two more, Aguero adding another too.  Antwerp join the top group after a 1-0 win at home to Mini Mars, Insigne with the late winner.  Mini Mars are now 8th, a point behind the top two, with PSG two points behind.  The way things are going we could easily see either on top in a week or two.  AC Milan moved onto 7 points, ahead of Juve, with a 2-1 win over PSG.

Patrick Lyons' NY Red Bull are one of two sides with perfect records in game 64, the other being Craig Rathey's Scarborough in British div.1.  They lead Serie B by two points from Jamie Maycroft's Dnipro after both won this week.  Nastasic got the winner for Red Bull as they won 1-0 at Duncan Martin's Palermo, whilst Dnipro beat Roma 2-0 at home after Didier Drogba was sent off for the visitors, a result that drops Hayden Dando's side to third in the table, three points off the lead.

The British league isn't quite as close as the Euro, but the title is still up for grabs with most of the table still in the running.  Chelsea are the new leaders, last weeks top side Celtic drop to sixth.  Niall Cunningham's Chelsea went behind early on at home, Messi putting Ethan Bailey's Arsenal ahead, but two goals in the last 13 minutes from Contrao and Kroos saw them just scrape the three points.  Rich Coupland's Wolves beat Marc Lewry's Man United 4-0, and are a point behind Chelsea, Glen Pine's Bournemouth are two points off the top in third place after their thrilling 4-3 victory over James West's Aston Villa.  Villa are currently bottom of the table with three points.  Derby and Man City both won as well and both are two points behind the leaders along with Celtic.

As previously said, Scarborough have a 100% record in division 1, they're five points clear of Sam Roberts' Doncaster.  Another potential rival was beaten this week, Craig Rathey's side putting four past Nick Smith's Liverpool without reply.  Sam Roberts' Doncaster stay second, Cavani with a brace in their 4-0 win over Burnley, West Ham and Newcastle are a point behind them.  The Magpies won 1-0 at home to Wigan this week, the Hammers thumping 'a soccer team that are really quite swell', the magnificent Grimsby Town, 4-0.  Sheffield Wednesday were the leagues biggest scorers - Llorente with four goals in a 5-2 win at West Brom. Boss Chris Burton may have had other things on his mind this week - he's now a dad - so congratulations Chris from game 64!

Game 80 - Week 6

The top five all won in the British league, in most cases very comfortably, giving the impression that the league title will indeed probably be decided by the results between these main contenders.  Three points separates Mark Wheat's United in fifth from leaders Liverpool.  Biggest victory came from second placed Arsenal, Patrick Lyons' side, who trounced West Ham 5-0, but Liverpool, Man City and Man U all won 4-1 with only really Hayden Dando's Chelsea finding it slightly tough, beating Everton 1-0.

Euro leaders PSG were held for only the second time this season, Anthony Brockway's side drawing 1-1 at James Teager's Valencia, so Niall Cunningham's Barcelona are now top following a routine 5-0 win at Monaco.  Two late goals for Chris Quick's Bayern Munich away at Jamie Maycroft's Juventus rescued a point to move them up into third ahead of John Ferrier's Dortmund, beaten 2-0 at James Bartaby's Wolfsburg.

Game 80

Turn five in all new game 80, and the big game in the British league saw Joe Hughes' Man United host Louis King's league leaders Liverpool.  Not a great deal to say about the match, which finished 0-0, but Liverpool stay top and United stay fourth, three points behind.  That result was good news for both Chelsea and Arsenal though who move to just a point behind the leaders with victories - Arsenal winning 4-1 at Southampton and Chelsea with a 1-0 win at West Ham.  Man City are now only four points behind the leaders after an Aguero hat-trick in their 4-1 home win against Southampton.

John Ferrier's Dortmund continue to lead Serie A after wins for all the top three, Dortmund beat Real Madrid 1-0, PSG stay level with them after a 3-0 win at home to Roma and Bayern are a point behind the top two after beating Monaco 4-0.  Niall Cunningham's Barcelona drop to fourth after a 1-1 draw at home to Valencia - a game which saw Lionel Messi sent off after 77 minutes and then Valencia bag a late late equaliser.

Game 1

Shock result of the day, quite possibly, came in Munich, where James Bartaby's Bayern - currently only just outside the relegation zone - put on their performance of the season, destroying league leaders FC Tucson.  David Burton's side were put to the sword as Van Persie scored a hat-trick and Ronaldo added a fourth, Bayern winning 4-0.  The goal difference swing between the two Tucson and PSG (they were exactly equal before this weeks games) was magnified by the performance of the side from Paris - and one of their players in particular.  Lionel Messi scored five times as Louis Browne's side won 5-0 at Roma to move three points clear.  It probably remains a two horse race, but the teams behind are keeping up the pressure where they can.  James Teager's Juventus won 1-0 at Barcelona to keep them eight points behind the leaders, but time looks to be running out for Markie's Barcelona who - after Bayern's win this week - are now seven points from safety down in the bottom three.

The battle for the Premier League continues to be between the top three - John Ferrier's Man U came from behind to win 2-1 at Everton and stay top, level on points with Louis Browne's Arsenal who won 1-0 at Man City.  Louis King's Southampton are a point behind those two following the 5-0 home demolition of Millwall.

Game 64

Both leagues are incredibly close and we're heading for a magnificent game 64 season which should culminate in one of the best live week 22 turns ever if things carry on in the way they currently are.

Serie A first, and Basle are the new leaders, Coach Pine's side going top after Lukaku's early strike gave them a 1-0 win at Joe Spencer's bottom of the table Atletico.  None of last weeks top four won this week, hence things closing up nicely.  Real Madrid are second, level on points with Basle, after James Teager's side lost 2-1 at Louis King's Benfica.  Dave Burton's Mini Mars are a point further back after hanging on for a 0-0 draw at James West's AC Milan despite the second half sending off of Solanke.  Ladd's PSG were held 1-1 at home by Gerard's Bayern Munich - Cristiano Ronaldo getting another goal for Munich after Da Silva had put the home side ahead.  Dickie's Lazio drop to sixth after a 2-1 defeat at Markie's Juventus, but are just three points behind the leaders as are seventh placed Benfica, Bayern in eighth and ninth placed Antwerp.

Serie B could be equally thrilling, despite the fact that there are just four teams battling it out.  Pat Lyons' NY Red Bull and Hayden Dando's Roma both have six wins out of six, Jamie's Dnipro and Duncan Martin's Palermo both have five wins and a draw, presumably against each other.  That one is going to be decided by the matches between the top four you would think.

John Ferrier's Celtic stay top of the Premier League but just by a point as they drew 1-1 at home to Dickie Coupland's Wolves whilst Niall Cunningham's Chelsea beat Man United 4-1 to go second.  Ethan's Arsenal are third after a 1-1 draw with Glen's Bournemouth - Messi with an early goal for the Gunners but Bournemouth battling back through Wilson.  Wolves are fourth, two points behind the leaders, Bournemouth a point further back in fifth place.  Dave Burton's Derby are up to fifth after winning the match of the day, beating Jamie's Man City 4-3.

Two big wins in two weeks see Scarborough suddenly well in control of division 1.  Last week they won at West Ham, this time out goals from De Jong and Richards saw off Chris Burton's Sheffield Wednesday and Scarborough are five points clear.  Sam's Doncaster go second after a thumping 4-0 win over Millwall, Cavani and Isco amongst the goals there, whilst Kirk's West Ham drop to third following a second consecutive 1-0 defeat, this one coming at Anfield where Borini's goal saw Nick Smith's Liverpool move into the top half of the table.  Newcastle are fourth after a 2-0 win over Grimsby with Wednesday fifth and Liverpool sixth.

Game 99

At the halfway stage in the game 99 season, Jamie Maycroft's Wolves saw their lead at the top of the Premier league table cut to three points after a spectacular goal scoring masterclass from Tottenham's Danny Welbeck.  The leaders took a very early lead against Steve Bennett's side, Chiellini firing Wolves ahead in the opening seconds of the game, but Welbeck levelled before half time then added two more in the second half to give Spurs a 3-1 victory.  Patrick Lyons' Southampton are also three points behind the leaders after they won 3-0 at Celtic whilst Anthony Brockway's Man United are another point back following their 1-0 home win against Blackburn.

The top two are tied in Serie A, Anthony Woods' AC Milan battered John Gilson's Bilbao 5-1 with Robin Van Persie scoring twice, whilst Kieran Hundal's La Coruna won 1-0 at James West's Real Madrid.  The top two are three points ahead of Joe Hughes' Roma who whon 3-0 at Benfica.

Game 56

Chris Quicks' Real Madrid are European champions, a 3-2 win at Gothenburg not really needed this week as they're 8 points clear of Scott Dunford's Bayern Munich.  The British league is going to come down to the final week of the season through, with David Carney's Chelsea currently two points clear of Jamie Messenger's Sheffield Wednesday.  The Stamford Bridge side have the superior goal difference too, so a point for them next week will be enough.  Both scored four away from home this turn, Chelsea winning 4-1 at Everton, Wednesday with a 4-0 win at Carlisle.

Game 80

Easter Sunday turns in game 80 saw John Ferrier's Borussia Dortmund on top of Serie A as both they and Chris Quick's Bayern Munich dropped points for the first time.  Bayern were beaten 2-1 away at James Teager's Valencia and drop to fourth, a point behind the top three.  Dortmund lead on goal difference after they were held 0-0 at Jamie Maycroft's Juventus.  The slip up by the top two allowed Niall Cunningham's Barcelona and Anthony Brockway's PSG to join Dortmund at the top on 10 points, the top three still unbeaten after four games.  Barca won 4-2 at Roma whilst PSG recorded a 2-0 victory at Wolfsburg.

The Premier League still has one team left with a 100% record, Louis King's Liverpool recorded their fourth win of the season, Daniel Sturridge scoring the only goal as Mark Wheat's Manchester City were beaten 1-0 at Anfield.  Arsenal, Chelsea, Man United and Spurs are all just a point behind the leaders, all winning today.  Arsenal beat Celtic 4-1, Chelsea won 3-0 at home to Sunderland, United won 3-0 at Newcastle thanks to a Falcao hat-trick and Spurs beat West Ham 2-0 at White Hart Lane.

Game 1

Defeat for the league leaders Paris St Germain.  Louis Browne's side went into this weeks games unbeaten in 11 and having conceded just one goal all season.  Five minutes into their game against Gerard O'Brien's Real Madrid at the Bernabeu that goals conceded tally was doubled - Ivanovic opening the scoring for Madrid, and early in the second half it was trebled as Chiellini made it 2-0.  Balzaretti pulled one back for the French side, but that's a first loss of the season as they are pegged back by FC Tucson who join them on 27 points.  Dave Burton's side won 2-0 at Roma to go level at the top.  Jamie Maycroft's Valur move into third place, six points behind the front two, after beating James Teager's Juventus 3-1, Torres scoring twice.  Juve drop to fourth with Lazio fifth following a 3-1 win at Lech Poznan whilst Dortmund drop to sixth following their 2-1 loss at Bayern Munich.

Game 64

Real Madrid suffered a surprise setback at the top of Serie A, James Teager's losing for the first time this season as Richard Ladd's Paris St. Germain beat them 1-0 at the Bernabeu, Costa with the only goal of the game from the penalty spot just before half time.  Real stay top, but victories for all the chasing sides mean that the table has closed up a great deal.  David Burton's Mini Marseille are second, two points behind the leaders, after a 2-1 home win over James Bartaby's PSV, with Lazio, Basle, Antwerp and PSG another point further back.

Jamie Maycroft's Man City were held 2-2 at home by Bob's bottom of the table Everton in the Prem, a result that means Celtic move two points clear at the top following their 2-0 win at Man United.  Trailing the leaders by two points are Arsenal, 4-2 winners at Villa, Wolves who won 2-0 at home to Derby and City.   The big match in the first division saw the top two face each other - Kirk Greenway's West Ham losing 1-0 at home to Craig Rathey's Scarborough.

Game 80

Louis King's Liverpool won their third game in a row from the start of the season to lead the Premier table, Sturridge (2) and Skrtel scoring as Everton were comfortably beaten 3-0 in the first Merseyside derby of the new game.  Mark Wheat's Manchester City side moved into second spot with an equally straightforward victory, Newcastle beaten 4-1 at the Etihad, Jovetic, Sagna and Aguero twice on target.  Chelsea, Arsenal, Man United and Tottenham are also on six points, Chelsea and Spurs both recording 1-0 victories this week, whilst United played Arsenal at Old Trafford.  Joe Hughes' side took an 8th minute lead through Radamel Falcao and wrapped up the three points with a second from the same player early in the second half.  Giroud pulled one back for Patrick Lyons' Arsenal but United climb up to fifth.  Southampton recorded their first win of the season to climb to 7th, Wanyama scoring three as Saints won 3-1 at West Ham.

Serie A's big German two have yet to drop points - Chris Quick's Bayern and John Ferrier's Dortmund both with three wins out of three.  Dortmund battered Monaco 4-0 this week, Bayern beat Roma 3-0.  PSG dropped points for the first time this season, Anthony Brockway's team held 1-1 at home by a Real Madrid side who have yet to win a game.  Niall Cunningham's Barcelona beat James Bartaby's Wolfsburg 4-1 though the German side did have Josue sent off, Suarez scoring twice for Barca.

Game 75

It's a three way tie at the top of the Premier league, Celtic comfortably beating QPR 3-0 to lead on goal difference from East Stirling, 3-1 winners against Man United, and Wolves who lost 2-1 at home to Manchester City despite taking the lead in the opening minute of the game.

James West's AC Milan have a 100% record in the Euro league, seven games, seven wins - this week goals from Kroos and Ronaldo saw them win 2-0 away at Bayern Munich.

Game 80

Only two games gone in the game 80 season, still decent clubs available if anyone wants one.  We've already had more transfer drama in the first week of this game than most games manage in a season, but the Euro and British leagues are starting to settle down now...

Louis King's Liverpool and Patrick Lyons' Arsenal are the only two Brit league sides who managed to win both their opening games, whilst in the Euro league, John Ferrier's Dortmund, Anthony Brockway's Paris St. Germain and Chris Quick's Bayern Munich have all managed it.

Game 20

End of the season in game 20, congratulations to John Gilson who won the Premier League with Man United; they finished three points clear of West Brom who themselves were a couple of points ahead of Sunderland.  Congratulations too go to Stuart Lees, his AC Milan side won Serie A, holding off his other side, Athletic Bilbao to win the league by three points.  Milan also won the Champions League, but were denied the FA Cup which went to Bilbao, beating Sparta Prague 5-0 in the final.

Third Party Transfers Are An Issue

It has been said before, but it needs to be re-iterated, all transfers need to be able to stand and fall on their own merit. If you're doing an exchange deal with someone, make sure you put down all the parts of the deal on the same sheet, and make sure they're all with the same team.  Whether teams are managed by the same manager or not.

As an example. Suppose Real Madrid want to buy David Silva. They speak to the Man City manager, but cannot agree a deal. He has his eye on Mario Goetze at Bayern Munich instead. He tells the Bayern Munich manager that he would only swap Silva for Goetze. The Real Madrid manager cannot ask the Bayern Munich manager to sell Goetze directly to City, he must instead purchase the player himself, wait four weeks, and then sell him on.

Why? Mainly because the more confusing you make things, the harder it is to keep track of what on earth is going on, and the more difficult it is to sort out when things go wrong. I can't find it on here but somewhere on here is a post I made explaining why exchange deals had to be done at the same time, on the same return sheet. No selling a player one week in exchange for one who would arrive four weeks later. No promises and future clauses. No parts of deals with third parties.

It might mean more to you if you all received the number of emails I do from managers who are upset that so and so has just quit 'but he has promised to sell me player X in two turns' or 'he still owes me player Y from a deal twelve years ago' or whatever. The answer is pretty much always - tough. If a transfer goes wrong and it's between two teams and you put it down on the same return sheet then the chances are I can do something about it. Usually I'll ask you to try again for a week or two - and if it doesn't work out then I can often help out. However, if you're asking for a player who was promised a while back, or one that was swapped last season, or whatever, then there's nothing i can do about it. And even worse - if you're complaining because Ethan promised to sell you Messi in three weeks but this week he sold him to Gerard, but you sold Ronaldo to Ethan last season and you sold Aguero to James and you bought John Terry off Chris and now you're not happy... then I'm afraid there's not a lot I can do for you.

Keep your transfers clear and transparent and if something goes wrong you'll be fine. If someone makes a complaint about you, you'll be able to say - no, it was just Rooney plus £40m for Ronaldo or whatever, and you won't have any problems justifying your transfer. 

Game 64

This week saw the quarter finals of the game 64 Super Cup, and a crushing victory for Richard 'Dickie' Coupland's Lazio.  Radamel Falcao scored a hat-trick as Dave Burton's Mini Mars were beaten 4-1.  They will face Niall Cunningham's Chelsea in the semi finals after Griezmann got the only goal in their 1-0 victory over Craig Rathey's Scarborough.  David Burton's Derby face James Teager's Real Madrid in the other semi final after both won their quarter finals 2-1.  Derby beat Glen Pine's Bournemouth, Real overcame Rich Coupland's Wolves.

Game 1

Louis Browne's Arsenal side lead the Prem by a point from John Ferrier's Man United, both recording 3-1 victories today.  Louis King's Southampton are three points behind the leaders after a 3-0 home win over Derby.

In the Euro League, David Burton's FC Tucson side saw themselves slip to three points behind leaders Paris St Germain thanks to a 1-1 draw away at Louis King's Lazio.  Carlos Tevez gave Lazio the lead and it looked like all three points, but Wayne Rooney bagged a vital equaliser just seconds from the end of the game.  Tucson move ahead of James Teager's Juventus into second place, after Juve lost 1-0 at Duncan Martin's Dortmund - the German side moving up into fourth place.  Louis Browne's PSG lead the way and are now three points clear after those slip ups from both main rivals.  No such problems for the French side, Dani Alvez with their goal as John Ferrier's Sporting Lisbon were beaten 1-0.

Game 86

Reigning champions, Alloa Legends, dropped their first points of the season - Kirk Greenway's side held to a 0-0 draw by Chris Burton's Stirling Albion.  That allows Dave Burton's Fledglings to move two points clear after they won 4-2 at Kent FC.  Rich Coupland's Arsenal Game 1 moved into third with a 4-1 win at Warbury Warriors.

Game 99

Two way tie at the top of the European league in game 99, Anthony Woods' AC Milan and Kieran Hundal's La Coruna both on 22 points, three clear of Joe Hughes' Roma who were beaten 1-0 by Kieran's side.  It took a Robin Van Persie penalty for Milan to take the three points from Anthony Brockway's Barcelona - who remain in the bottom three and possibly, along with Dortmund, in a relegation battle.  Just over half the season to go though, so time for both to pull away.  Bayern, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid all won and are all four points behind the leaders.

Four points separate the top six in Serie A, not so in the Premier League where Jamie Maycroft's Wolves have a six point lead.  This week saw their first loss of the season though, going down 2-0 at Anthony Woods' West Ham.  Stve Bennett's Spurs drop from second to third after losing 1-0 at Arsenal, Patrick Lyons' Southampton moving into second place by beating 10 man Blackburn 1-0.

Game 80 Champions League Draw

Welcome to the draw for the game 80 Champions League and Europa League.  A brand new season, so we don't have any league winners or cup winners to send through, just two pots - one with all the teams from the British league, one with all the teams from the Euro League.  Unmanaged sides are in there too, we're still hoping to pick up a new boss or two before the season kicks off.

Game 80

New game... it all starts with the Super Cup - and a few managed teams crashing out at the first hurdle.  Group 2 was dubbed the 'Group Of Death' before it all started, with Dortmund, Juventus, Chelsea and Wolfsburg all looking for a place in the knockout stages.  John Ferrier's Dortmund sailed through, winning all five of their group games, whilst Jamie Maycroft's Juventus will join them in the second round after winning their other four matches.  Hayden Dando's Chelsea and James Bartaby's Wolfsburg are the unlucky teams that miss out.

Game 13

Michael Sinclair ended the season as champions - his Man United side finishing just one point ahead of Ben Alexis' Chelsea.  The top two battled it out throughout a gruelling game 13 season, with United going into their last match knowing a victory at home to Southend would be enough.  Goals from Gomez and Thorpe (2) saw United win the league with 49 points, one more than Chelsea's 48.  Ben was also runner up in the Euro league, his Barcelona finishing six points behind a dominant Real Madrid, though Ben did get revenge in the Champions League final - beating his Spanish rivals 2-1.

Game 64

Coach Pine and James Teager still lead the way - three games gone, three games won for them in their respective leagues.  Bournemouth beat David Burton's Derby 2-0, goals from Wilson and Ritchie, and are three points clear of Celtic, Man City and Wolves.  John Ferrier's Celtic side won 3-0 at Phil Dean's Villa, Jamie Maycroft's Manchester City won 1-0 at home to Ethan's Arsenal and Rich Coupland's Wolves side beat Duncan Martin's Rangers 2-0 thanks to a brace from Correa, both coming in the second half after Podolski had been dismissed for the Glasgow side in the first.

The top two are now three clear in division 1, Craig Rathey's Scarborough recording a thumping 6-0 victory away at Hibernian, but Kirk Greenway's West Ham keeping up with them thanks to a probably more impressive 2-0 home victory over Sam Roberts' Doncaster, Balde bagging both.  Doncaster, along with Scarborough, were probably pre-season promotion favourites, and these are only their first dropped points, but all indications are that it's going to be a five team shoot out for the two automatic promotion spots.  Level with Doncaster now are Chris Burton's Sheffield Wednesday, who won 2-0 at home to Wigan, and James West's Newcastle - 4-2 victors at West Brom.

James Teager's Real Madrid top Serie A, goals from Icardi and Zaza as they beat James Bartaby's PSV 2-0 at the Bernabeu.  Gerard O'Brien's Bayern Munich drop from second to sixth in the table as they can only draw 2-2 at home to Joe Spencer's Atletico - that's Joe's first point of the season.  Glen Pine's Basle beat Richard Ladd's PSG 2-1 to take second spot, one of four clubs who are three points behind the leaders.  Rich Coupland's Lazio are also there - Falcao with a hat-trick, including two penalties, as his side beat James West's AC Milan.  Bazz Wetton's Antwerp had a late Negredo goal to thank as they came from behind to win 2-1 at home to Benfica whilst Dave Burton's Mini Mars also left it late, Meyer with their winner fifteen minutes from time at home to Mark Wheat's Juve.

Three sides still have 100% records in Serie B, Patrick Lyons' NY Red Bull top on goal difference after a 2-0 home win against Inter Milan.  Hayden Dando's Roma also there after beating Shaktar Donetsk 3-2 along with Duncan  Martin's Palermo, after a 1-0 win against Parma.  Jamie Maycroft's Dnipro are just two points back from those three after a 4-1 home win over Fiorentina.

Game 86 - Three Games In

Three games in to the new season, and there are changes afoot in game 86.  Previously a game where no transfers happened - we've allowed teams to control their own bank balances and use them to buy and sell players!  We'll see how this affects things in the next few weeks.

League wise it's as you were at the end of last season - with Kirk Greenway's Alloa Legends leading from David Burton's Fledglings.  Both have 100% records, Alloa battering Jamie's Stoke Prior 4-0 this week, Fledglings beating Accrington 3-1 thanks to a hat-trick from Eric Cantona.   The title could once again come down to the matches between the top two.

Reports

Lots of requests that we start running more live turns - the exciting way we run the final week of the season by reporting games "as theyhappen" online in the evening.

These are great fun, but take some time and are quite difficult to organise,   Nonetheless I will try to run them for the major games with the most managers - games like 64 and 99.

In the meantime I'll do my best to report here in the blog on a far more regular basis on results as the season passes.

Game 80 - New Game
